Music Ministry
Living to sing His praise, and singing to live His kingdom.
MUSIC MINISTER:
Marie-Jo Thum
With COVID-19 restrictions in place from Bishop Stika at this time, Richard and Marie-Jo are singing on behalf of everyone. We look forward to the time when, once again, all those at Mass can lift their voices in song.
The remainder of this information is both pre and post COVID!
Always a welcome for new members!
No auditions or ability to read music are necessary, but a voice that can match a pitch and blend with other voices is cause for rejoicing! If you are blessed with music in your heart and a song on your lips, please come join us!
Our mission is to enhance the public expression of praise to God and to serve and lead the Body of Christ in our community sung prayer. We come to the liturgy to offer our best as gift, prepared and devoted, with humility and service. Although listed separately, we love to combine the choirs and celebrate our rich diversity with “one voice”.
ADULT CHOIR
Our Adult Choir singers (ranging from middle school through retiree) enhance the community sung prayer at our 11:00 Sunday Mass, other feast days and special occasions.
Rehearsals are at 10:00 before Mass. Meeting in the Knights room. Weekday rehearsals are called to prepare for Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and special occasions as they arise. We sing every week.
SPANISH CHOIR
When we return, the Spanish Choir will be organized again for the first Sunday of the month bilingual Mass in particular.
